Child Safety Week 2020Child Safety Week (1 – 7 June 2020), brought to you by the Child Accident Prevention Trust, is relevant for anyone working with parents or children.  The theme for 2020 is Safety makes sense! – the aim is to show how much sense it makes for you to get involved and how much you can help the families you care about if you do something.

Families today have instant access to every conceivable piece of advice about bringing up children – google is the new guru grandparent.  The result is a massive pressure to ‘get it right’, to be the perfect parent or present the perfect family profile, and confusion about what actually makes a difference to their children’s lives.

“Many people mentioned the recent TV adverts about washing tablets/pods
being stored up high but most didn
t know the reason for this advice
and were unaware of the serious injuries they can cause.

Child Safety Week 2020 aims to cut through the noise, to be the voice of reason on child safety for families, so that safety makes sense to them.

Working together, we can help families know what they really need to do to protect their children and how to do it – and where the things they’re already doing are good enough.

Register now and be notified as soon as your Child Safety Week resources are available to download.  They provide you with a turnkey solution. You don’t have to figure anything out, do any research or hunt for resources.  It’s all there for you.  All you need to know as well as what you need to give to parents is included in the free action pack, poster and downloads.

It takes less than a 90 seconds to register at www.capt.org.uk/csw-sign-up.  Follow at www.facebook.com/ChildAccidentPreventionTrust or @CAPTcharity.
