煙花
In the lead up to Bonfire Night 2026, we are releasing data showing a 63% rise in firework related injuries to children between 2024 and 2025. This increase is seen in the serious burns to children that need admission to a Specialist Burns Unit and doesn’t even include the thousands seen and discharged from A&E each year.
It is also predicted that this year 500 children and their families will join the growing number of people who will remember bonfire night for the wrong reasons. They will have been injured as a result of an accident with fireworks.
- 絕大多數的傷害都發生在眼睛、頭部或手部,因此兒童一生中都會留下明顯的疤痕;
- 大多數的傷害都發生在私人或家庭的展示會上;
- 火箭、空炸彈和煙火事件是最常見的;
Before they explode read the code! Read the Child Accident Prevention Trust’s
The best way to enjoy fireworks is at an organised display. The fireworks will be bigger, you’re not responsible for safety and you’ll be part of the crowd.
