Mini First Aid Conference 2025

Corporate supporters Mini First Aid invited trustee Ken Dunn and Operations & Relations manager Jo to attend their 10th annual awards event in March.

Mini First Aid have supported the charity for 3 years; their franchisees and trainers extremely supportive on social media in relation to burn prevention campaigns and first aid messages.

In their first 10 years Mini First Aid have trained over 200,000 parents and carers, 200,000 children and 20,000 workplace delegates – a staggering number of children and adults now all more aware of the risk of burn injury and the correct first aid, should an accident occur.

Ken delivered a session on burn depth and the impact of first aid as part of their educational day and we then enjoyed networking & socialising at the annual awards dinner.

Jo was delighted to present the award for ‘Above and Beyond’ to Gemma da Silva, Mini First Aid training manager and franchisee for Manchester South, who originally reached out to Children’s Burns Trust in 2022 to discuss working more closely together; seen in the photo below with Mini First Aid founder Kate Ball and her husband Matt.

Jo also caught up with Lell Hawney, Mini First Aid trainer for South East London and Dartford, who participated in photos for our website redesign in 2023 and went on to fundraise for the charity in 2024 with her husband.

Thankyou again for inviting us to attend your annual event and for raising £333 for Children’s Burns Trust during the raffle; we always come away inspired by the passion and motivation to raise awareness of prevention and first aid.

If you would like to discuss the opportunity to become a corporate supporter or fundraise for Children’s Burns Trust contact Jo at info@cbtrust.org.uk
