Medical laser technology leaders Lumenis have announced that they have selected the Children’s Burns Trust as their charity of choice for 2022.

Supporting their position as global leaders in laser scar treatments, the Lumenis UK team joins Children’s Burns Trust as a Corporate Supporter and has committed to a series of fundraising events that will include a black-tie ball and several sponsored sporting events to be announced throughout the year.

Lumenis is already committed to benefitting the lives of scar patients, all over the world through its Lumenis Cares Foundation. Founded in 2019 by Lumenis Associate Director of Marketing (Aesthetic EMEA), Laure Boisseux, the foundation is committed to bringing the ‘light of life’ to those in need. Today’s technological breakthroughs bring immense hope for people with scars, creating profound positive change.

Laure Boisseux, Founder of the Lumenis Cares Foundation, comments:

“We’re delighted that the Children’s Burns Trust will be Lumenis UK’s charity of choice for 2022. As a global leader in laser scar treatment, this partnership highlights our commitment to making a difference to the lives of countless children who have suffered scarring from burns across the United Kingdom. Our fundraising initiatives throughout the year will allow us to support the vital work that the Children’s Burns Trust carries out in supporting children, young people and their families who are coming to terms with their injuries and give them the opportunity to lead a happy and healthy life. “

Marina Lobanov Rostovsky, Chairman of Trustees of the Children’s Burns Trust, says:

“We are pleased to welcome Lumenis UK to the Children’s Burns Trust family of supporters and thrilled that they have chosen us as their charity of choice for 2022. The Children’s Burns Trust doesn’t receive any government funding and we are only able to continue the work we do as a result of our own fundraising efforts and with the support of our corporate partners. Lumenis’ fundraising efforts will allow us to continue providing rehabilitation support for burned and scalded children, as well as prevention and awareness campaigns for which there is little or no national funding.
