Bringing Joy to Mars Ward: The Gaming Cart Arrives Thanks to Children’s Burns Trust
We are delighted to share some wonderful news from Mars Ward, the paediatric burns unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. On Wednesday 12 November, thanks to the generosity of supporters of the Children’s Burns Trust, the new Rockin’ Games Cart was delivered to the ward, bringing fun and distraction to young patients during their stay.
The ward staff have already seen the positive impact it’s having. As one of the nurses shared:
“Thank you so much for the Rockin’ Games Cart we received on the Paediatric Burns Unit. The children have already had so much fun playing on it, and it has quickly become a wonderful resource that brings joy and distraction during their stay. We truly appreciate the kindness and support from the Children’s Burns Trust.”
The team have explained that The Gaming Cart is more than just a source of entertainment – it offers comfort, distraction, and a sense of normalcy for children during challenging times. It’s heartening to see the smiles it has already brought to the faces of patients and the relief it provides to staff as they care for their young charges.
